I have recently launched a for-profit alternative finance platform that seeks to disrupt the capital markets sector through a specified focus on catering toward BoP (Bottom of the Pyramid) enterprises. Alternative finance platforms abound (p2p, crowd-funding, etc) yet most (if not all) are focused on developed nations and work concurrently with the evolving SEC regulations. My project is focused on the underserved, emerging markets that have great need for capital access and will operate outside of the jurisdiction of the SEC or any other related governing body. This is not a future "unicorn"; this is a project for the social entrepreneur. Adding to the uniqueness of this project is my proposed structure. Maximizing the full impact and efficiency of this innovative emerging capital market project requires the for-profit entity to operate in unison with a fully independent investment focused non-profit. This bilateral business model will allow for capital to be sourced from both the private and public sectors while also offering clients a multitude of unique returns including tax write-offs, social outcomes and financial returns all from a single investment.
All this to say, I am looking to fill a role that could be best described as a "Founding Strategic Partner". A person whose skill sets combine non-profit savvy and business acumen with a passion for poverty alleviation.
