My Financial Partner | Remote (EST or CST preferred)
My Financial Partner (MFP) provides small businesses with the financial tools and support typically found in large organizations. Our skilled accounting team delivers high-quality, fractional accounting services to a growing group of small companies owned by Teamshares Inc., the largest buyer of small businesses in the U.S. As part of this network, you’ll help make a meaningful difference for small business owners and employees nationwide.
Position: GL Accountant
Role Responsibilities:
• Record financial transactions for multiple client companies.
• Apply customer payments and keep accounts receivable aging reports current when needed.
• Enter vendor invoices, appropriately code expenses, secure payment approval, and schedule payments through automated systems.
• Reconcile bank statements with general ledger accounts and verify cash account accuracy.
• Process online payroll and record transactions in the correct accounts.
• Prepare and reconcile fixed assets and perform initial reviews of capitalization adjustments.
• Complete other accounting tasks as requested by clients or their assigned controller.
• Review trial balances before and after closing, identifying and reporting unusual items for further analysis.
Required Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 3 years of accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience
• Knowledge of accrual accounting and payroll requirements
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and other cloud-based accounting tools
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365
• Strong communication and time management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities as needed
• Curiosity, enthusiasm, and an eagerness to learn across various industries
• Availability to work EST/CST hours

$70,000–$80,000 per year
