Piton Labs is currently hiring a full-time Senior Software Engineer. We’re looking for someone who can handle full-stack development with a stronger focus on the backend. You must have solid experience with cloud infrastructure. Prior startup experience—whether from personal projects or early-stage companies—is a plus. We strongly prefer candidates in the GMT‑8 (US West Coast) to GMT‑3 time zones, but we may consider applicants from other regions depending on fit.
### Responsibilities and Technical Scope
At Piton Labs, you’ll work with both startups and large enterprises to solve their most challenging technical problems. You’ll need to handle the uncertainty and complexity of software development—helping customers build products and deciding what truly needs to be developed. This isn’t just executing tasks from a checklist; you’ll also help set priorities and focus on what matters most to our customers.
We don’t require a specific tech stack, but most projects use TypeScript, React, and Go. Cloud infrastructure is typically built on AWS, though some customers use other providers. You should have at least five years of experience with mainstream web application development stacks, relational databases, and modern frontend frameworks. Familiarity with our preferred tools is a plus, but not required. You must be able to continuously deliver reliable, thoroughly tested code.
A typical week may include:
– Building advanced user interfaces for web or mobile applications
– Designing and developing a serverless API layer for new products
– Using infrastructure-as-code tools to create and deploy cloud environments
– Presenting new features to customer stakeholders
