Piton Labs is hiring a full-time Senior Software Engineer. We’re looking for someone who’s comfortable working across the entire stack, with an ideal emphasis on back-end development. The right candidate will also have strong experience with cloud infrastructure. Previous startup experience—whether you’ve run your own company or worked at an early-stage startup—is a plus. We strongly prefer candidates located between GMT-8 (US West Coast) and GMT-3, though we may consider others on a case-by-case basis.

### RESPONSIBILITIES AND TECHNOLOGIES

At Piton Labs, you’ll collaborate with startups and larger organizations to solve some of their most challenging technical problems. You’ll work through the ambiguity and complexity of software development, helping clients not only build their products but also decide what to build. Rather than simply completing backlog tasks, you’ll help define priorities and focus on delivering solutions to the most valuable client problems.

We’re technology-agnostic, but most of our work involves TypeScript, React, and Go. We typically use AWS for cloud infrastructure, though some clients use other providers. You should have at least five years of experience with a major web application stack, relational databases, and a modern front-end stack. Familiarity with our preferred tools is helpful but not required. You must consistently deliver reliable, well-tested code.

A typical week may include:
– Building engaging interfaces for web or mobile applications
– Designing and implementing a serverless API layer for a new web product
– Planning and provisioning cloud infrastructure using IaC tools
– Sharing new features with client stakeholders
