Piton Labs is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Full-Time). We’re looking for someone who can work across different layers of our technology stack, with a strong preference for candidates who are especially strong in backend development. You should have solid experience with cloud infrastructure. Prior experience in a startup environment—through personal projects or early-stage companies—is a plus. We strongly prefer candidates located between GMT‑8 (US West Coast) and GMT‑3, but we may consider other situations case by case.

## Responsibilities & Technology
At Piton Labs, you’ll work with both startup teams and established organizations to tackle their most challenging technical problems. We operate in a high-uncertainty, high-complexity software development environment, helping clients build products they truly need. You won’t just execute a predefined checklist—you’ll help shape priorities and focus your efforts on the most important problems for the client.

We don’t require a specific tech stack, but most client projects use TypeScript, React, and Go. We typically use AWS for cloud infrastructure, though some clients may use other providers. You should have at least 5 years of experience in one or more large-scale web application development environments, including relational databases and modern frontend frameworks. Familiarity with our preferred tools is helpful but not required. You should also be able to continuously write reliable, well-tested code.

A typical week might include:
– Building advanced user interfaces for web or mobile applications
– Designing and developing a serverless API layer for new web products
– Using infrastructure-as-code tools to create and configure cloud infrastructure
– Demonstrating new features to relevant stakeholders at the client
