Accountant will be responsible for daily, monthly, quarterly, annual and adhoc requirements for the general accounting and reporting deliverables, supporting the Sales Accounting, Fixed Assets, FP&A and other teams during the close.
Key Responsibilities:

    • Preparing or posting journals to the general ledger such as accruals, recurring, prepaid, deferred and permanent entries.
    • Record and have good understanding on supporting documentation for all journal entries.
    • Preparing monthly GL Account Reconciliations in blackline. Ensure that all entries are accurate & transactions are reported in accordance with accounting standards.
    • Preparing variance analysis for income statement and balance sheet accounts.
    • Manage fixed assets accounting, including creation / registration, retirements, Sales & transfers.
    • Supporting FP&A business partners inquiries and investigations.
    • Investigating sales inquiries and determining if a manual adjustment journal is required.
    • Performing various sales results analysis (reversing journals, Project on conversion contracts, project accrual coverage, variance to forecast, trend analysis, top +/- activity).
    • Support monthly sales accounting.
    • Support other monthly close activities – balance sheet account recs, reporting, flux, etc.
    • Support on fixed assets – registrations, D&A, analysis, etc.
    • Support Ad hoc reporting requests – providing insight into financial information that is used to achieve reporting objectives and support business analysis and assessments.
Key Skills:

    • Degree in Accounting required (B. Com), MBA preferred.
    • Hands on experience 6+ years in Accounting / Record to Report close process for like size firm.
    • Proficient to advance in computer /system skills.
    • Analytical skills to organize and assess large amounts of data and lean towards challenging the status quo.
    • Detail oriented, maintaining documentation trail for all work and ensuring backup/supporting materials stand on their own.
    • Team player and good communicator, willing to work as an individual contributor and partner/assist other team members.
    • Understands importance of meeting deadline and manages work accordingly.
    • Strong self-starter with ability to think creatively, solution unexpected issues, manage multiple deliverables simultaneously and work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
