If you want to help our clients enjoy their fullest, most vibrant lives while building your career in a nurturing environment focused on learning and support, you’ll love being part of Motion.

**Who you are**
Motion is seeking an HR Assistant for a 4-month contract to join our HR team. This is a remote position, with the option to work from the nearest Motion location for cross-training if needed. Reporting to the People Operations Specialist and working closely with the People & Culture team, you’ll help maintain service excellence by responding to employee questions, supporting HR systems, and preparing basic reports. You’ll also be encouraged to share your ideas and knowledge to support People/HR-related special projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team committed to excellence, supporting one another’s goals, and encouraging ongoing learning and professional development.

**What you’re looking for—and what’s in it for you**
You want to build your knowledge and skills in human resources and grow your career at a healthcare solutions company. You thrive in a fast-paced setting, stay organized and efficient while maintaining a genuine passion for people, and you’re looking for purposeful work where you can use your HR foundation and gain support as you develop and advance.

**What you will do**
– **Operational effectiveness:** Support People (HR) functions such as onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, general administrative tasks, and responding to employee inquiries submitted through our Tier 1 support desk. Tier 1 support may include helping employees learn about, adopt, and implement core HR programs and policies.
– **System maintenance:** Help maintain the accuracy of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and other related HR systems, and prepare or pull basic reports.
– **Engaging communication:** Work with members of the People & Learning team to develop clear, engaging weekly internal updates for employees about new programs, policy changes, and other key information.
– **Special projects:** Support a variety of People projects, coordinating with teams such as payroll, marketing, communications, learning, and operations to help ensure successful delivery.

**What you bring**
– **Education and experience:** A degree or diploma from a post-secondary program in business management, human resources, or related experience. Knowledge of HR functions (onboarding, employee relations, HRIS administration) is an asset. Experience in an administrative and coordination role, including hands-on data management exposure, is also an asset.
– **Passion for people:** You enjoy supporting others and understand the importance of confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
– **Communication:** Strong written and verbal communication skills; you can explain ideas clearly to different audiences and communicate comfortably at all levels. You work well both independently and as part of a team.
– **Flexibility and organization:** You can manage multiple tasks and deadlines without losing focus, prioritize and organize throughout the day, and adapt quickly when priorities change—while still meeting deadlines.
– **Technical skills:** Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
