Vida Dietitians provide virtual Medical Nutrition Therapy and Diabetes Self-Management Education to drive meaningful, lasting behavior change. They offer nutrition counseling and education to individuals and groups to improve overall health outcomes.
Vida Dietitians are highly trained nutrition experts licensed in the states where they practice. They work within Vida’s guidelines, scope of practice, HIPAA requirements, PHI protections, and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
• Manage a caseload of clients seeking to prevent or manage chronic cardiometabolic conditions.
• Communicate with clients via video, phone, and electronic messaging.
• Maintain expertise in Diabetes Self-Management Education and Medical Nutrition Therapy.
• Use motivational interviewing techniques to support behavior change.
• Collaborate with other members of the coordinated care team to deliver high-quality, appropriate care.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines to protect PHI.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Stay current with Vida training and communications.
• Meet or surpass quality and efficiency standards for providers.
Other Expectations:
• Commit to four-hour work blocks between 8 AM and 8 PM Monday–Friday, and 8 AM to 12 PM on Saturday, in your own time zone.
• Accurately document work hours using the appropriate ADP codes.
• Adhere to Vida’s QA and compliance standards to ensure member safety and consistent service.
• Document within Vida’s provider platform and templates.
• Use cloud-based tools such as Slack, Google Suite, and Zoom effectively.
• Understand that Vida may reassign clients at any time and may limit termination periods to follow best practices.
• Follow Vida’s curriculum and clinical guidelines within your scope of practice.
• Agree to all Vida policies and consents related to member services.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in dietetics or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Registered Dietitian credential from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• At least 3 years of experience in a clinical or community setting.
• Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist preferred.
• Obesity and Weight Management certification preferred.
• Spanish fluency preferred.
Compensation: $37–$40 per hour
