Color Health is redefining cancer care with the nation’s first Virtual Cancer Clinic, delivering high‑quality, physician‑led, multidisciplinary support in every state. Our evidence‑driven model spans cancer screening, risk assessment, prevention, diagnosis, treatment support, and survivorship. In addition to personalized medical care, we offer services including genetic risk evaluations, nutrition counseling, mental health support, and at‑home cancer screening. Through technology‑enabled, patient‑centered solutions, Color is transforming how employers, unions, health plans, and government organizations address cancer. Our mission is to close critical gaps in cancer care, improve outcomes, and support individuals with compassion throughout their health journey.

In June 2023, Color joined forces with the American Cancer Society (ACS) to launch a screening and prevention program for employers and labor groups. This initiative combines ACS’s expertise in prevention and screening with Color’s capabilities in large‑scale care delivery. The partnership has since expanded to cover diagnostic support, treatment and care services, and survivorship. Through our Virtual Cancer Clinic, we help employees and members detect cancer earlier, guide them through diagnosis with empathy, assist survivors as they return to work and manage complex needs, and address major screening gaps for high‑burden cancers.

Cancer patients and survivors often spend more time navigating a fragmented healthcare system than fighting their disease. If you want to help change that, join Color and take on some of the most meaningful work of your career.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Oncology RN to join our Virtual Cancer Clinic, supporting patients with cancer screening and prevention. This role is vital to delivering remote cancer risk management, screening guidance, and preventive care, improving screening adherence, and ensuring quick follow‑up for abnormal results. As an early member of the team, you will help shape the growth and success of our oncology care management and navigation program.

The ideal candidate is deeply committed to oncology, early detection, and prevention; comfortable using telehealth tools; and motivated to improve outcomes in early cancer identification. You recognize the challenges cancer brings to patients’ lives and are driven to help them overcome these barriers.

How You’ll Contribute:
• Act as a key clinical resource for patients focused on cancer prevention, screening, and early detection.
• Communicate with patients via phone, messaging, and video to address clinical needs including triage, symptom management, abnormal results, escalations, provider coordination, referrals, and arranging in‑person care.
• Conduct comprehensive cancer risk assessments and develop screening and prevention plans for physician review.
• Triage and manage symptoms that may indicate cancer and respond to abnormalities in screening results, ensuring quick follow‑up to confirm or rule out cancer.
• Provide compassionate, empathetic support, building trust‑based relationships and encouraging patients to take actions that lower risk and improve outcomes.
• Evaluate symptoms and medical history shared during patient interactions.
• Partner with Care Advocates to address non‑clinical support needs.
• Contribute to developing clinical protocols and best practices for prevention, screening, and high‑risk management alongside oncologists, primary care providers, genetic counselors, and care advocates.
• Participate in care team discussions to review patient progress and coordinate support.
• Record detailed documentation of all patient interactions.
• Educate patients on cancer risks, screenings, and lifestyle changes aligned with national and specialty guidelines and Color’s protocols.
• Serve as an RN‑level escalation point for non‑licensed clinical staff.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• BSN degree.
• Active, unrestricted RN license with the ability to obtain additional state licenses.
• At least 7 years of nursing experience, including 5 years in oncology.
• Oncology‑related certification (such as OCN, AOCN, AOCNS, CCM) or willingness to earn one within 12 months.
• 3 or more years of adult outpatient clinical experience.
• Strong motivational interviewing skills and experience delivering guideline‑based, patient‑centered care.
• A strong commitment to removing barriers and simplifying care for patients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on empathy and active listening.
• Dedication to evidence‑based, technology‑driven cancer care and improving access.
• High standards for care quality and patient outcomes.

Preferred:
• Multi‑state Nurse Licensure Compact license.
• Experience collaborating with technical and operations teams.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Base Salary Range: Actual base pay depends on factors such as experience, skills, market conditions, location, and business needs. This range may change over time. The role may also include eligibility for bonus, equity, and benefits.
