Vida dietitians provide virtual medical nutrition therapy and diabetes self-management education to support long-lasting behavior change. They offer nutrition counseling and education for individuals and groups to improve overall health outcomes.

Vida dietitians are highly trained nutrition professionals licensed in the states where they practice. They work according to Vida’s guidelines, within their professional scope of practice, and in compliance with HIPAA, PHI protection rules, and industry standards.

Responsibilities:
• Manage a caseload of clients seeking support in preventing or managing chronic cardiometabolic conditions.
• Communicate with clients through video, phone, and electronic messaging.
• Maintain expertise in diabetes self-management and medical nutrition therapy.
• Use motivational interviewing techniques to support behavior change.
• Collaborate with other care team professionals to deliver high-quality, appropriate treatment.
• Strictly protect confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines for PHI protection.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Participate regularly in Vida trainings and communications.
• Meet or exceed quality and efficiency standards for providers.

Additional expectations:
• Commit to four-hour work blocks between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays, in your own time zone.
• Accurately record work hours using the appropriate ADP codes.
• Follow Vida’s QA and compliance standards to ensure member safety and consistent service.
• Document using Vida’s provider platform and templates.
• Use cloud-based tools such as Slack, Google Suite, and Zoom effectively.
• Understand that Vida may reassign clients and adjust notice periods at any time to support best practices.
• Follow the Vida curriculum and clinical guidelines within your scope of practice.
• Agree to all Vida policies and consent forms related to member services.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in dietetics or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Registered Dietitian credential through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• At least 3 years of experience in a clinical or community-based setting.
• Certification as a Diabetes Care and Education Specialist preferred.
• Certification in obesity and weight management preferred.
• Spanish language skills preferred.

Compensation: 37–40 USD per hour
