Junior Trade Servers Administrator – Cyprus

The Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Trade Server Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with experienced professionals while enhancing your technical and analytical skills. The primary focus will be supporting and maintaining the MT4/MT5 servers and contributing to key XM systems and projects. We are looking for a proactive team player who is eager to learn and manage tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

• Install and configure MT4 / MT5 Servers
• Responsible for the continuous operation and running of the MT4/ MT5 system
• Responsible for the setup and maintenance of new and existing instruments
• Troubleshoot system issues, manage system upgrades, document processes and provide technical support for users
• Monitor system performance, availability, backup/restore and continuity of trading platforms, systems & software
• Supervise and collaborate with all outsource companies in direct relation to the trading platforms, systems and software
• Perform routine audits of trading platform systems and software
• Perform periodic health and performance checks of all trading platforms and systems
• Offer services related to the above tasks and projects to any of the Companies of the Group as instructed by the Line Manager

Main requirements:

• University Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar position, ideally in system administration or trading platform management, preferably in the financial services industry
• Proficiency in managing and maintaining Windows based systems
• Experience with system backups, disaster recovery, and server maintenance
• Good knowledge of networking concepts, firewalls, and network protocols
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Proactive, organized, and efficient with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Capable of multitasking and working independently in a fast-paced environment

The following will be considered an advantage:

• Understanding of the Forex market and experience in trading platforms like MT4/MT5
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python
• Knowledge of SQL queries
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Zabbix monitoring
• Experience with ELK stack configuration and troubleshooting
