CI&T is seeking an experienced Systems Architect/Engineer Manager to lead and nurture our growing team of software engineers in the Philippines. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the technical aspects of the development team, ensuring they provide top-notch technical solutions to our Australian clients. This role involves working closely with local and international project managers and technical directors to deliver outstanding results, as well as the software engineers, tech leads, and the remaining local team.
Key Responsibilities

    • ● Team Leadership and Development
    • ○ Lead and support a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
    • ○ Coach and mentor team members, conducting technical sessions to enhance their capabilities, and grow new tech leads in the team
    • ○ Collaborate with the Delivery Manager for ultimate team performance across the SDLC (requirements, design, development, testing, devsecops).
    • ● Code Quality
    • ○ Conduct regular code reviews and engage in pair programming to improve code quality and team skills.
    • ○ Automate code development, environment setup and related technical tasks to increase team productivity and code quality, while also reducing bugs
    • ○ Ensure teams are constantly, safely and productively using CI&T’s approved GenAI tools to generate better code, requirements, test cases and related, and continuously improving their productivity thanks to the GenAI tools.
    • ● Software Architecture
    • ○ Ensure the project’s adherence to best engineering practices and CI&T’s coding standards.
    • ○ Get hands-on when required, to solve critical problems happening with the development team.
    • ● Non Functional Requirements
    • ○ Responsible for ensuring non-functional requirements are fully supported according to global standards and project specifications (performance, security, etc)
Project Collaboration

    • Work closely with local delivery managers and Australian project managers to deliver successful project outcomes.
    • Participate in strategic planning sessions to align technical execution with business objectives.
    • Work with the project tech lead and developers to ensure the technical delivery of the project.
Technical Leadership

    • Provide architectural guidance, challenge proposals, and suggest alternative solutions when necessary.
    • Oversee the development of technical documentation and solutions architecture.
    • Ensure flawless execution of ongoing projects, adhering to both CI&T and client standards.
    • Maintain a hands-on approach in software engineering practices, with the ability to code and architect solutions for any modern digital technology stack.
Qualifications

    • 10+ years of experience in software development and architecture, preferably across varied and modern platforms, having been a software engineer/coder for at least 5 years of that time.
    • Proven solid experience with at least one of the major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and its services
    • Proven & solid experience with modern web front and backend technologies (including javascript frameworks, nodejs, . Net/Java or any other modern web tech stack)
    • Proven track record in leading and developing technical teams.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for software development.
    • Proven and solid experience with non-functional requirements for modern web applications.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English.
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or very close fields.
    • Strong software engineering background with hands-on coding experience.
    • Ability to serve as a technical lead and/or architect for a project, as needed, contributing actively to projects, and engaging directly with clients’ technical and business teams when required.
    • Experience with code reviews and pair programming techniques.
