The Music team oversees Spotify’s complete offering for music creators and the experiences they deliver to fans, building tools and services that support large‑scale creation, promotion, expression, and monetization.

We are seeking an experienced Editor to join Spotify’s Music Editorial team in Seoul. In this role, you will help shape compelling music experiences for listeners in South Korea by combining cultural insight, strong editorial judgment, and data‑driven decision making. You will report to the Editorial Lead for South Korea.

As an Editor, you will manage and refine a wide range of playlists and editorial formats, spot emerging trends and new artists, and work closely with Spotify teams across the region and the world. Your contributions will go beyond playlist curation to help maintain a consistent, trusted, and culturally resonant editorial voice across moods, moments, and genres.

What You’ll Do
• Curate cohesive, engaging playlists across diverse genres and moods for local audiences
• Regularly review new releases and identify rising artists, trends, and cultural shifts locally and globally
• Use listener behavior and performance data to test editorial ideas and improve playlist engagement
• Develop creative editorial concepts and formats that bring music stories to life, sometimes contributing written, video, or audio content
• Partner with regional and global editorial teams on programming plans and strategic goals
• Work with teams such as Artist and Label Partnerships, Marketing, and Product to bring cultural context into broader workflows
• Support artist discovery through Spotify’s editorial ecosystem and help artists grow their audiences
• Maintain an impartial, professional editorial voice that represents Spotify’s role in the local music landscape

Who You Are
• You have 5–8 years of experience in the music industry, digital programming, journalism, or music curation for major media or streaming platforms
• You are deeply connected to music and culture, with strong knowledge of the South Korean market and its trends
• You are fluent across a wide range of genres, moods, and listening contexts
• You can interpret data and analytics to guide editorial decisions and improve outcomes
• You balance cultural instinct with thoughtful analysis of audience behavior
• You communicate clearly and effectively, including through written content and occasional multimedia work
• You are fluent in Korean and English, both written and spoken
• You are organized, flexible, collaborative, and comfortable in a fast‑moving environment
• You can work with Google Suite and basic visual asset processes in partnership with design teams

Where You’ll Be
• The role is based in Seoul
• We offer flexibility so you can work where you’re most effective; some in‑person meetings are required, but remote work is also supported
