The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Incident Management Process, a deep understanding of event-driven architectures and microservices, and proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Golang, Python, or TypeScript.
As an SRE, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring that reliability is a first-class citizen in our software development lifecycle. - Incident Management: Lead and participate in Kubernetes-related incident response, including triaging, resolving, and communicating incidents effectively. Conduct thorough postmortems to identify root causes, document lessons learned, and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence. Manage and optimize on-call processes using tools like PagerDuty, ensuring timely response and minimal disruption.
- System Design: Collaborate with development teams to design and implement reliable, scalable, and maintainable microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Observability: Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure high visibility into system health and performance.
- Automation: Develop and maintain automation tools and scripts to improve operational efficiency and reduce toil.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring systems meet scalability and reliability requirements.
- Documentation: Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and incident response procedures.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to developer teams on SRE principles, tools, and practices.
What do we need from you? π
- 5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or similar role.
- Proven experience with Kubernetes (k8s) and managing incidents in containerized environments.
- Strong understanding of event-driven architectures (Kafka) and microservices.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Golang, Python or TypeScript.
- Experience with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD).
- Knowledge in AWS and its managed services.
