As Senior Director, Performance Marketing, you will act as a highly experienced and analytical player-coach, leading your team and a multi-million dollar budget to launch, scale, and optimize performance channels spanning paid search, paid social, display, etc. You will develop overall and channel-specific strategies, having accountability for meeting volume and efficiency targets (i.e. delivering a positive return on ad spend [ROAS]). Reporting to the CMO, you will own reporting, projections, and holistic communication for performance marketing.

What You’ll Get to Do:

Lead the performance marketing function with a multi-million dollar budget for a high-growth business positioned to disrupt an industry. Set overall strategy, positioning by channel, and deliver positive ROAS at scale.

Analyze complex data and understand nuances of the tech stack, attribution, and what needs to be done to optimize channel performance.

Partner with the Product Marketing and Brand organizations to gain customer insights and develop campaigns aimed at creating demand across our different lines of business.

Oversee, manage, and generate weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting for all major performance metrics across all campaign initiatives. Model performance marketing scenarios and project forward performance for executive consumption.

Identify areas for process improvement and work cross-functionally to implement updates, changes to the marketing tech stack.

What You’ll Bring:

A deep well of leadership experience as a player-coach, enabling big things with a small team. Experience managing a multi-million dollar marketing budget to maximize marginal efficiency.

Performance-obsessed marketing and broad channel expertise, spanning paid search, paid social, display, etc. Success launching from ground up, scaling, and optimizing large campaigns that are ROAS-positive and accretive to the bottom line. This experience should be backed by time at a leading tech, eCommerce, travel, or high-growth consumer brand.

Growth-hacker mentality, with out-of-the-box thinking for both mainstream channels and experimental marketing.

Proficiency with analytics and attribution, spanning how to approach large datasets for insights or diagnosis, advanced targeting, and segmentation strategies.

Cross-functional project leadership experience, with the ability to prioritize and advance projects requiring sales, engineering, and product stakeholder support.

Natural ability to develop relationships and influence without authority across all levels in an organization, from senior executives to individual contributors.

Analytical rigor and strong critical thinking skills. You are adept with data, hypothesis-driven, and quickly able to identify solutions or paths to address complex problems.
