Ledger is looking for a Security Compliance and Awareness Engineer to lead the design, rollout, and ongoing management of internal security awareness and knowledge initiatives. This role is essential for cultivating a strong security-first culture by developing training content, running awareness campaigns, and maintaining clear and useful documentation.
You will use tools such as an LMS and awareness platforms like Riot to train and engage employees. You will also ensure that all security documentation is organized, accessible, and aligned with compliance and business needs.
Success in this role requires excellent communication skills and strong collaboration with teams such as Legal and Engineering.
The mission
• Manage the security awareness program: design, deliver, and maintain an engaging internal awareness strategy using tools like Riot and an LMS. Run phishing simulations to strengthen employee resistance to social engineering. Create targeted training modules to address specific security and compliance needs.
• Oversee knowledge management and documentation: maintain and structure all security documentation to ensure clarity and usability. Develop detailed guides, FAQs, and reference materials to support awareness efforts. Work closely with other teams to ensure documentation meets compliance and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders: work with Legal, Engineering, and Product teams to embed compliance and security needs into training content. Serve as a bridge between Security Operations and employees to address security questions.
• Support compliance: ensure training and awareness initiatives meet regulatory and internal standards such as GDPR and SOC 2. Track and report employee participation to demonstrate compliance and uncover gaps.
• Drive continuous improvement: assess the effectiveness of training and campaigns, using feedback and metrics to refine future content. Stay informed about industry trends and emerging threats to keep awareness programs current.
What we’re looking for
• At least 3 years of experience in security awareness, training, or compliance.
• Experience with LMS platforms and awareness tools like Riot or similar solutions.
• Experience running phishing simulations and analyzing their results.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity basics and common threats such as phishing and social engineering.
• Ability to manage and structure extensive documentation clearly and effectively.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GDPR and SOC 2.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex security topics.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• A collaborative mindset and ability to work with a variety of teams and stakeholders.
What we offer
• Equity: we believe in sharing success, and offer stock options as we continue to grow. Flexible hybrid work arrangements.
• Social benefits: annual company events during Ledgerdary Days, regular social gatherings, and snacks and drinks.
• Medical coverage: comprehensive health insurance with extensive medical, dental, and vision benefits. Personal development, coaching, and fitness support through our partners.
• Time off: five weeks of paid vacation each year, plus national holidays and RTT days.
• High‑tech equipment: access to high‑performance tools and devices, including Apple products.
• Transportation support: partial reimbursement for your preferred mode of transport.
• Discounts: employee pricing on all Ledger products.
We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome all candidates regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, social background, disability, or age.
