We are seeking a Senior Business Development leader for North America to spearhead strategic partnerships and drive commercial expansion across the region. This position serves as the regional owner for key external relationships, ensuring strong alignment between partners, internal teams, and long-term business goals.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in the North American payments and fintech landscape, understands complex cross-border commercial models, and can confidently represent the company in senior-level conversations across multiple markets. Although the focus is on business development, the role also requires a solid grasp of the operational and financial dimensions of partnership structures.

Responsibilities
• Manage and expand strategic partnerships across North America, including relationships with payment providers, financial institutions, and other key partners.
• Serve as the main regional contact for senior external stakeholders.
• Identify new partnership opportunities that promote sustainable growth and scalability.
• Lead negotiations to establish commercial terms that support global strategy and regional needs.
• Assess and refine commercial agreements to maintain competitiveness and long-term efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as product, finance, risk, compliance, and legal to align partnership structures with business objectives.
• Contribute to regional strategies involving pricing, routing, and partnerships based on performance data and market trends.
• Monitor partner performance and drive improvements through data-driven insights and regular reviews.
• Provide global teams with market insights and serve as a trusted regional advisor.
• Maintain a deep understanding of existing regional partnerships and operational environments.
• Support internal decision-making with insight into local market practices and limitations.
• Stay informed on regional regulatory and operational frameworks affecting North American partnerships.
• Help shape and refine compliant operating models across different countries with internal stakeholders.
• Anticipate market shifts and emerging trends that may influence commercial or partnership strategies.
Qualifications & Skills
• More than 10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, operations, or commercial roles within payments, fintech, or digital platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to manage senior-level relationships across North America.
• Strong negotiation skills with experience closing complex, multi-country deals.
• Deep understanding of cross-border business models, fund flows, and commercial structures.
• Ability to combine strategic planning with hands-on execution.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Experience working within regional or global platforms operating in North America.
• Familiarity with the North American payments ecosystem.
• Exposure to complex partnership or operational models spanning multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience serving as a regional lead or informal manager across countries.
Salary: $124,000 – $175,000 per year
