As a Mechanical Claims Adjuster, you’ll play an essential role in safeguarding the administration company’s interests by following contract guidelines and sharing your expertise with customers and dealers.

Compensation:
Starting pay ranges from $22.00 to $24.50 per hour, non‑exempt, with overtime opportunities and excellent benefits.

This is a remote position.

Work schedule:
Monday–Friday during standard business hours.

Job Summary:
The Mechanical Claims Adjuster supports the claims department by managing a high volume of calls, accurately opening new claims, collecting and reviewing documentation, confirming that all requirements are met, and providing updates on claim status. This role requires delivering outstanding customer service, performing key administrative tasks, and completing other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

Customer Service & Claims Adjudication:

• Answer incoming claims calls, identify important contract details, and address coverage questions.
• Provide follow‑up information and guide users through new claim submission processes.
• Handle escalated cases and disputes effectively.
• Review assigned claims and request additional information when needed.
• Ensure all authorized claims receive proper approval.
• Process claims according to contract terms and state regulations, typically within 30 minutes when no extra information is required.
• Meet communication and processing metrics.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
• Work independently and proactively.
• Assist the Claims Lead and Supervisor with special projects.

Team Collaboration:
• Support other departments.
• Cross‑train to understand basic functions across teams.
• Offer suggestions that may improve overall efficiency.

• Flexible with work hours.

Preferred Experience:
• ASE Certification.
• Background in automotive mechanical claims, service writing, or repair facility operations.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, repairs, and labor guides such as Mitchell or AllData.
• Experience in a claims call center environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
• Standard office conditions.
• Ability to sit for extended periods.
• Occasional walking, standing, reaching, or bending.
• Frequent talking and listening in person or by phone.
• Ability to grasp objects, use keyboard, calculator, and office tools.
• Extended screen time with required vision capabilities.
• Ability to lift at least 20 pounds.

Compensation Range:
$22.00–$24.50 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on location, skills, and experience. Additional incentives are available through annual performance programs.
