As our marketing intern you will learn the ins and outs marketing inside a startup. You’ll learn how metrics are tracked to see how people advertise campaigns. You’ll learn how to use your creativity and data-driven knowledge to grow a consumer product. Most importantly — you’ll learn how our 7 person team, full of developers and designers, coordinates and works together to make a dream become a reality.
Our web product just did a soft launch in Newton, Massachusetts about a month ago. We’re trying to define a marketing strategy to accelerate our startup forward. Our current main goal is to gain initial traction, and as an intern you’ll have the following responsibilities:
-Research and produce local content from various community sources -Assist with process of broadcasting content to community lists, groups, and social media -Brainstorm with team to refine and initiate inbound marketing strategies -Research marketing tactics of competitors -Other additional responsibilities may be assigned
We need someone who isn’t afraid of trying new things, learning on their own, and pushing the limits. We need someone who preferably has some experience in marketing or sales, or a strong passion for it.
Minimum qualifications
-Must be in college, university, or senior year of high school in a good academic standing -Strong communication skills -Amazing creative writing, written, and verbal skills -Intermediate understanding of social media, mobile apps
Time commitment: 2-10 hours a week
