Blue Bottle Coffee is scheduled to open near Kamakura Station in early summer 2026.
Although close to the lively heart of Kamakura, the café will offer a calm and relaxing atmosphere.
As a Blue Bottle Coffee barista, you will deliver outstanding hospitality, contribute to developing coffee skills and knowledge, and work as a self‑starter to enhance the experience of both the team and our guests. You will share in Blue Bottle Coffee’s vision while supporting the leadership team and helping improve café operations and the overall environment.
Depending on the selection process and operational needs, you may be asked to train or work at nearby cafés.
Until the new café opens, you will work at an existing location within commuting distance.
Your final assignment will be determined by the company.
Main responsibilities:
• Provide delicious coffee while offering hospitality tailored to each guest’s needs
• Support the team in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and beautiful café environment
• Use internal resources to address operational and environmental challenges with team leaders
• Share your ideas with leaders and teammates to help improve the café
• Understand café business goals and support the leadership team
• Depending on team needs and your strengths, take on tasks such as ordering or training
• Support new company initiatives while following compliance standards
• Create plans for your own growth and development

Barista experience:
Previous barista experience is not required.

Location and other details:
• Employment type: Full‑time (6‑month probation)
• Salary: From 2,600,000 yen annually (details discussed based on experience and ability)
• Work location: Determined based on hiring timing and café needs
• Assignments are decided with commuting distance in mind
• Possible transfer to café locations with kitchens, including kitchen duties
• Work schedule: Variable working hours system (basic 8 hours/day with 1‑hour break)
• Days off: 10 per month
