WHY WE NEED YOU

The Infrastructure Administrator will design, implement, and support Pelmorex’s IT infrastructure, helping modernize, standardize, and automate systems. This role involves aligning solutions with our strategic goals and collaborating closely with other administrators and technical leads.

Note: We are only considering candidates eligible to work in Canada and currently living in the Greater Toronto Area.

WHAT YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INCLUDE

• Designing and implementing core infrastructure systems (Kubernetes, VMs, clusters, CI/CD, cloud), including network security, automation, and monitoring
• Providing technical guidance and leadership for IT projects
• Creating infrastructure solutions with high availability, scalability, resiliency, and security
• Reviewing existing systems and recommending improvements
• Researching emerging technologies and proposing sustainable, innovative solutions
• Ensuring quality assurance and documentation of infrastructure architecture
• Transitioning systems to the IT Operations team
• Acting as a level 3 support escalation
• Meeting and exceeding service levels
• Identifying ways to enhance IT service delivery
• Delivering projects on time and within budget
• Providing after-hours support as needed
• Performing additional duties as required
• Working outside regular business hours when necessary
• Adapting to evolving responsibilities over time

WHAT WE HOPE YOU BRING

• A bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field, and 5+ years of experience in a 24/7 IT environment
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes across infrastructures such as CloudStack, Proxmox, EKS, GKE, and AKS
• Strong cloud computing knowledge (GCP, AWS, Azure), plus experience with AI/ML
• Expertise in managing Kubernetes infrastructure
• Experience in complex IT environments involving networks, systems, and storage
• Strong technical skills (Linux, Windows, scripting, Terraform, automation)
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK, Splunk, and Prometheus
• Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
• A proven record of delivering service level agreements and service outcomes
