Who We’re Looking For We like smart people. And we’re looking for someone deeply interested in the convergence of tech, design, and geography made easy for the layman. We want self-starters with an understanding of the state of play in spatial tech and a drive to make spatial data usable and accessible to all. Someone who can think around issues, assume responsibility, and deliver workarounds. Above all, someone who understands the value of translating complex processes into simple, elegant solutions.

What You’ll Do • Help build a user-friendly repository of global boundary data (either via research or sourcing a vendor) that will integrate into our tool • Write in-app messaging, helpdesk articles, demos, and training materials to communicate GIS issues in clear language to the ‘uninitiated’ among our users • Support user testing & bug testing • Provide feedback/recommendations on product improvement

Skills You’ll Need • Fast learner, self-starter • Ability to write in clear, concise, simple language • Firm grasp of GIS data and products (Mapbox, QGIS, ArcGIS, etc) • Solid research skills (ability to find geospatial vendors and data) • Ideal but not required is familiarity with CSS/HTML and Adobe Creative Suite

Our tool is designed to let non-technical users collect data through a variety of means, visualize it through maps, dashboards, pivot tables, and indices, and monitor changes through alerts and automated reporting. We combine data collection, mapping, visualization, and basic statistics all in one tool for easy use.
