As Director, Business Development (Technology Partnerships-Public Sector), you’ll lead a practice area and portfolio of partnerships to drive impactful business outcomes. You’ll be part of our Partnerships & Business Development function, which works cross-functionally, spanning much of the organization, to develop and execute critical projects leveraging partners. Our team also represents Dataminr externally and works extensively with technology partners to align go-to-market activities and development resources to advance Dataminr goals.
Responsibilities:
Identify, recruit, and on-board symbiotic ISVs and integration partners
Managed a portfolio of partners; ensure internal alignment to support partner commitments and build processes to scale
Develop, negotiate, and own the business relationship with ISV partners; Create plans and tactics to maximize and grow the partnership
Work closely with internal and external partners to define joint value propositions, product integrations, and lead execution across teams
Foster healthy and active participation in the partner’s ecosystem; Align on shared incentives and joint win use-cases
Manage executive and stakeholder relationships; Establish partnership governance, lead QBRs, manage product/marketing roadmaps, and track partnership success metrics
Act as a caretaker of Dataminr’s relevancy and product-market fit with strategic partners
Inform and support corporate strategy providing analysis of competitive offerings from partners, synthesize market trends, and identify means of sustained differentiation
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience; Technical major and/or MBA a plus
5+ years of experience in business development, partner management, product management, or strategic account sales driving revenue growth via partnerships
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; thrives in dynamic, unstructured, and fast-paced environments
Ability to think strategically and engage tactically; with an entrepreneurial spirit and sense of humor
Familiarity with large technology partnership programs, standard deal structures, and ability to analyze contracts
Experience building financial models, presenting business cases, and working with raw data to identify actionable tactics and partnership ROI
Demonstrated interest in technology, continuous learning, and partnerships leveraging AI, APIs, and SaaS product integrations.
