Delivery Manager – Budapest

Instructure, the maker of The Canvas Learning Platform used by 50M users around the globe, is seeking skilled Delivery Managers to join a newly forming team. As a Delivery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient delivery of our products, collaborating closely with the R&D organization to drive value for our customers and the business.
What you’ll do:

    • Standardize and manage key Agile ceremonies such as planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
    • Initiate and support efficient and fast decision making process
    • Collect input from multiple teams so that the organization has all the information needed for proper planning of the OKRs.
    • Ensure effective communication of progress, challenges, and delays.
    • Oversee dependency management across product groups and teams to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Implement and monitor productivity metrics (e.g., DORA Metrics), and share insights on production uptime and process effectiveness.
    • Handle day-to-day tasks related to hiring, consultant management, contract renewals, and budgeting.
    • Lead the project management of key strategic technology initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
    • Assist product groups and teams in planning (OKRs, strategic plans) and address their operational needs.
    • Facilitate cross-functional communication and coordination to ensure alignment (e.g., Security, Support, CSMs).
    • Collaborate with Engineering leadership on capacity planning, providing insights and data to support decision-making without directly owning the process.
What you need to know/have:

    • Strong ability to facilitate complex problem-solving and keep initiatives on track.
    • Broad knowledge of various project management methodologies, including Agile practices and traditional project management with an understanding of when to apply different processes effectively.
    • Skilled at identifying dependencies, gaps, and challenges, and managing resolutions.
    • Knowledge of design thinking, lean methodologies, Agile (Scrum, Kanban), CI/CD, and roadmap planning.
    • Familiarity with Agile and engineering tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, GitHub).
    • Proactive and Positive Attitude: A results-oriented mindset focused on delivering value, with the ability to stay positive yet realistic in challenging situations.
    • Risk Management: Ability to identify risks early, raise issues, and facilitate mitigations/solutions to keep projects on track.
    • Experience in managing contracts and vendors.
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decisions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and foster collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.
    • Commitment to leading by serving and supporting teams, with proven skills in motivating and influencing cross-functional teams.
Definitely a plus:

    • CSM, PMI-ACP, PMP, Prince2 certifications.
    • Experience with Tableau or Grafana for data visualization
