Responsibilities
• Direct, manage and edit the content work from a team of freelance copywriters.
• Format content for WordPress and other channels of content distribution.
• Work with our design team to create images for the content, as well as make them yourself in Photoshop.
• Schedule content in WordPress and across our owned social channels (Twitter, Facebook, G+).
• Work to distribute content across outside channels (Partner sites, design and other related blogs, Medium, Hacker News, YouTube, Slideshare, etc.).
• Understand which types of content will perform best on specific channels in order to attract, acquire, and engage a clearly defined and understood target audience – with the objective of driving profitable customer action.
• Build relationships with other top design sites and blogs and negotiate co-promotions, guest post and other promotional opportunities.
• Plan for rapid creation, publication, and governance of useful, usable content for the online design community and a general design interest audience.
About You
• Strong writer, you have impeccable grammar skills and you have experience editing and leading a team of writers.
• You understand what great design is and are familiar with the online design community. You have experience and existing connections working in the graphic design, web design and other creative spaces and blogospheres.
• Passion for growth via social media and content marketing.
• You understand how content marketing impacts SEO. You know the tools of the trade to identify topics and key phrases for content that align with organic search traffic.
• Intrinsically motivated, a self-starter.
• Customer focus and caring. When joining conversations with happy or frustrated customers, you genuinely care about customer satisfaction and ensure that customers are delighted.
• Great references. You’ve had success in the past and the people you’ve work with will have nothing but great things to say.
Salary and compensation
$60,000 — $80,000/year
