We are looking for a passionate and energetic Cultural Curator for Colombia to join Spotify’s Editorial Team in Bogotá. In this role, you will be part of the Music team in Colombia and the wider Latin America region.

You will work closely with our Marketing and PR teams to create and elevate the most culturally relevant music stories in Colombia and across the broader Latin music space.

You will use your expertise to support a variety of music-focused initiatives, including music storytelling, playlist curation, and cross‑functional projects with teams in the country, the region, and beyond. You will offer deep cultural and musical insights to craft highly engaging music narratives and listener experiences, and you will help drive artist discovery through a diverse editorial ecosystem of playlists and tools. You will maintain an authentic editorial voice while demonstrating strong teamwork, a love for data, and a keen awareness of Colombia’s and the Andean region’s music communities, especially regarding fan culture, trends, and viral moments.

As a music editor, you will be encouraged to make data‑driven decisions. Ultimately, your work will help shape how the world experiences music.

What You’ll Do
• Act as a cultural guide by proactively identifying music trends, stories, and opportunities for Spotify.
• Develop and amplify meaningful music stories across consumer-facing channels.
• Work with other teams to support company-wide strategic goals and initiatives.
• Support local and regional Editorial teams with on-platform music programming.
• Listen across many genres to spot trends and potential storytelling opportunities.
• Evaluate data and trends to better understand listener behavior.
• Partner with global and international editorial teams on projects and programming efforts.
• Serve as an internal advocate for artists from Colombia and the region, helping them expand their audiences.
• Collaborate with product teams to bring human music expertise and cultural context into product development.

Who You Are
• You have at least 3 years of experience in music storytelling, either in digital media or the music industry, where engaging digital audiences with music, artists, and creators has been central to your work.
• You are deeply connected to Colombian and Latin music culture and are the person who discovers new artists and genres before everyone else. You have strong knowledge of local music scenes and movements in Colombia, especially those that resonate with young audiences.
• You can clearly identify emerging music trends.
• You stay up to date with relevant social media conversations, memes, and online culture.
• You understand how to create effective digital storytelling formats for social platforms.
• You are open to experimentation.
• You have excellent written and spoken Spanish and English.
• You live and breathe music and have extensive knowledge of Colombian and Latin American music and culture.
• You have a broad understanding of genres—from Latin Pop and Urban to Género Popular, Vallenato, Música Mexicana, Rock, Indie, and both Latin and non‑Latin styles. You appreciate it all and know how to match songs to different contexts.
• You are comfortable working with data, analyzing it, and using it to set goals.
• You are detail‑oriented, organized, hardworking, and maintain a warm, friendly attitude.
• You know Spotify well as a user and fan.
• You understand digital platforms and the need for constant iteration and evolution.
• You can manage multiple projects at the same time.
• You are a strong team player who adapts well to change and stays positive.

Where You’ll Be
• This position is based in our Bogotá office.
• We offer flexibility so you can work where you work best. Some in‑person meetings are required, but remote work is also an option.
