We are seeking a skilled and proactive Internal IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our UK Sovereign Cloud team. ​
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and evolving the internal infrastructure that underpins our secure, sovereign cloud environment. You will work as part of a collaborative engineering team, ensuring the reliability, performance, and compliance of our internal systems while participating in an on‑call rota to provide out‑of‑hours support to the internal systems.​
This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives in high‑trust, high‑security environments and enjoys working across a broad range of infrastructure technologies across Windows, Linux & Firewall platforms. Any experience of the UK Public Sector would be an advantage.​
Must be able to pass an SC Security Check (UK Based, Passport holder 5+ yrs minimum) and potentially be willing to pass a DV security check in the future​
Responsibilities

    • Maintain, monitor, and optimise internal IT infrastructure
    • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents across servers, storage, networking, virtualisation, and cloud‑adjacent systems.
    • Perform routine maintenance, patching, upgrades, and configuration changes in line with security and compliance requirements.
    • Ensure high availability and resilience of internal systems through proactive monitoring and capacity planning.
    • Creation of automation to ensure repeatable tasks are optimised.
