Overview
Welo Data is launching an exciting new initiative and is seeking meticulous professionals with strong listening and transcription skills to join our team as transcribers. In this remote role, you will accurately transcribe audio files and enhance them with contextual tags and timestamps. If you have a passion for language, cultural nuance, and precise work, we would be delighted to hear from you.

What you will do:
– Transcribe audio recordings in the target language with a high level of accuracy.
– Insert timestamps to align the transcription with the audio.
– Annotate the audio with emotions, context, and other key metadata to improve project outcomes.
– Ensure each transcription is culturally appropriate and preserves the speaker’s intent, tone, and meaning.
– Work with the project team to maintain consistency and quality across all content.
– Follow all project instructions, formatting requirements, and deadlines.

Project details
Commitment: Flexible, at least 10 to 15 hours per week (up to 20 hours depending on availability).
Type of position: Freelance/Independent contractor
Location: Remote

Pay rate: $22/hour

Requirements:
– Native or professional-level proficiency (C1/C2) in the target language, along with strong English skills.
– Previous experience in transcription, translation, or linguistic work is highly preferred.
– Ability to identify regional dialects, emotional cues, and contextual nuances in audio.
– Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to deliver error‑free work.
– Familiarity with transcription software/tools and comfort with timestamps and tagging.
– Reliable availability to meet deadlines and produce high‑quality results.
