Aledade is looking for an Accounting Director who will work with the finance and accounting department to manage month end close calendar/timeline and specifically oversee a number of key areas including internally developed software, leases, intangibles, goodwill and expense accruals.
The ideal candidate for this role is fluent with U.S. GAAP, technology savvy, proactive and strategic. The Accounting Director will report to the Assistant Controller. This is a hands on role and requires a proactive mindset.
We are flexible with respect to geographic location, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely/work from home within the U.S. or from our headquarters office in Bethesda, MD.
Primary Duties:
- Preparation and/or review of general ledger postings related to internally developed software, leases, intangibles, goodwill and expense accruals
- Prepare and review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and account fluctuation for management reporting
- Manage month end close and other administrative tasks
- Lead / partner on various ad hoc financial analyses and special projects (e.g. M&A, process improvement and control implementation/refinements, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience; mix of public accounting and industry
- People management
- Public company experience
- CPA license
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Preferred knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:
- Astute attention to detail
- Healthcare/SaaS experience
- NetSuite experience
- Strong track record of partnering with multiple teams/good business partner
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting for prolonged periods of time. Extensive use of computers and keyboard.
