About the Role:
As an Account Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to Spreedly’s customers by being a growth-minded problem solver who understands our products, payments, and the importance of building relationships. You’ll offer guidance and support throughout the post-sale customer lifecycle and work closely with customer stakeholders to ensure customer success. This role will be an advocate, both for our customers and for Spreedly. Account Managers provide valuable feedback to our product development teams, while also championing Spreedly’s capabilities and features.
In this role, you’ll manage a large book of business and must know how to balance your time between nurture and growth activities to drive the outcomes needed for customers and Spreedly. You’ll be selling into the existing customer base, helping to expand Spreedly’s presence within customer companies beyond the initial use case, and identifying growth opportunities and collaborating with other teams to maximize value for both Spreedly and the customer. Through the strong relationships you’ll build with your customers, you’ll gain a clear understanding of their business and technical landscapes, allowing you to architect growth-oriented strategic account plans.
This role is open to candidates who currently reside in the Greater London Area, UK.
Responsibilities

    • Communication and Planning – Regularly review clients’ business priorities and growth strategies to build account plans that ensure success in support of those strategies.
    • Retention – Protect and grow renewal revenues by ensuring that clients are deriving maximum value through their use of Spreedly.
    • Growth – Track clients’ growth projections against current usage and initiate contract upgrades in a timely manner.
    • Expansion – Continuously scour the book of business to identify expansion opportunities and capitalize on those opportunities by executing strong sales acumen and closing capabilities.
Requirements

    • Experience in customer-facing roles within sales, account management, or customer success, preferably at a payments tech company
    • Basic understanding of the payments industry
    • Demonstrated ability to help customers use products effectively and increase their satisfaction and a passion for providing excellent customer service
    • Comfortable communicating with different levels of stakeholders, from executives to technical staff
    • Basic negotiation and problem-solving skills
    • Basic ability to analyze data and understand trends
    • Exposure to technology-based solutions
    • Interest in continuously learning about payment strategies and how they impact business growth
    • Exposure to working with technical customers, such as developers, using APIs for e-commerce support
    • Exposure to a growing tech company environment
    • As this role will primarily serve customers based out of the US and the UK, fluency in the English language, both written and spoken, is required.
