Job Summary
The Sales Representative is responsible for facilitating new customer development, servicing existing customers, and exploring opportunities across a broader range of products offered by the company. This role involves telecommunication contacts and personal visits to prospective and suspected users of the company’s products.
Key Responsibilities
- New Customer Development: Create new profitable sales volume through focused expansion of the sales base, primarily selling web and digital labels.
- Customer Service: Maintain and enhance relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of customer service and product quality.
- Reactive Sales: Respond to incoming calls from customers, utilizing sales skills to increase sales and engineer new opportunities.
- Follow-Up: Establish call-back times and frequencies for new prospects and suspects until an opportunity to bid is obtained.
- Data Collection: Actively solicit suspect and prospect profile data for future sales and marketing efforts.
- Company Image: Present a positive, service-oriented image of the company, demonstrating concern for customer needs.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of calls attempted and completed in Customer Relationship Management software.
- Product Knowledge: Continuously acquire and maintain knowledge of all products offered by the company.
- Customer Issue Resolution: Research and resolve specific customer issues with practical solutions.
- Policy Adherence: Perform duties in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
- Professional Attitude: Maintain a professional attitude with customers, co-workers, and other company personnel.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Graduate plus Sales Training Courses (work experience may substitute for Sales Training Courses). Preferred: College Degree in a business-related discipline.
- Skills: Fluency in English, basic business math, ability to operate office equipment, proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, sit, drive, stand, present sales materials, and lift up to 60 pounds.
- Personality Traits: Extroverted, good speaking voice, able to accept rejection, enthusiastic about sales, high energy level, able to perform multiple job functions without distraction.
- Environmental Conditions: Normal business manufacturing conditions with moderate to high noise levels.
$80,000 – $110,000 a year
