Site Tour is operating on the fringe of what’s possible with modern web technologies. This means working in a complex environment to deliver well considered and designed experiences for the out-of-home media industry. It’s a significant front-end engineering challenge and there are lots of issues that still need to be resolved.

The biggest challenges we currently face include: How to facilitate real-time interactivity between a buyer and a seller to plan, analyse, and execute complex media buys in an easy to understand manner. How to manage and visualise large amounts of data, media, points-of-interest and more on a map that is usable, aesthetically pleasing, and performs well. How to write custom interactions to handle difficult concepts like probabilistic availability. How to structure our development environment to share as much code as possible between various rich-client applications.

Our two big internal web-apps are entirely rich client and built using TypeScript, AngularJS, and React. Front-end engineering is an extremely important part of Site Tour and as as a front-end engineer within the company you would be challenged every day in a supportive and friendly small-team environment.
