set the architectural / technical direction for team activities
write your own code, and review / approve the code of your team
work with client stakeholders to understand software requirements
identify the MVP from a given collection of software requirements
instruct and coach team members on git best practices
teach agile and delivery best practices across your team
have the authority to manage scope and say “no” to unnecessary features
coach the members of your team to be great teammates and trustworthy engineers
identify technical debt and requirement gaps as they materialize
load-balance work across your team in a manner that plays to their strengths
onboard new engineers and help mentor others to become coaches
make sure that team meetings are effective and useful
