Accountabilities
You will be responsible for writing maintainable, performant, well tested code.
You will need to work well with other engineers to find solutions to the needs of the business.
You (along with the team) will work with Product to complete new features.
You will have to manage estimating work and integrating with other teams.
You will need to communicate with non-technical people about any project you are working on and give regular updates on progress.
You may need to be ‘on-call’ for Sev1 (super high priority) issues with any application you build/maintain/have valuable knowledge of.
You may need to travel to the Ensighten head office in San Jose (California), as required (it is not expected to be a regular thing).
The code you write will be efficient enough to serve thousands of requests per-second
You will be able to make pragmatic decisions around how the system should be architected and be able to discuss and agree on them with other engineers.
