The Principal Application Developer is responsible for developing the ADP Reporting product for ADP’s external clients. The ADP Reporting team is focused on building a cutting edge reporting product with a simple mission — make it beautiful, performant, simple and useful. The product will include a simple drag and drop interface, report preview, a library of categorized fields/reports and will extend to the manager persona. The reporting solution will be tightly integrated with the Analytics solution to enhance the user reporting experience while also providing insightful information combining transactions data with predictive analytics, benchmarks and mash-up data so users can make intelligent business decisions.

The right candidate will not only have strong technical skills but also possess the leadership skills needed to mentor junior developers (onshore and offshore) while meeting their own deliverables. Principal Application Developers work with product managers analysts, architects and engineers to plan, design, develop, test and implement information technology solutions consistent with the business objective.

Principal Application Developers at ADP are expected to be results-oriented, have knowledge of new and legacy technologies, have knowledge of the relevant platforms and environments, and be familiar with business process, functions and data within their domain to provide innovative, insightful, and secure solutions.
