At farmerswife, we are building a new cloud-based product which aims for the best reliability and scalability possible.

We’re looking for an engineer who can analyze and polishour cloud infrastructure and services to get us to a higher level of uptime and reliability, as well as help improve our development & testing environments.

You’ll work on projects like…

• Convert our development and production environments into repeatable installations, probably using Docker and Chef/Puppet/Ansible or similar.

• Work out the best ways to deploy our server on AWS, while still making it easy to install on-site for our bigger customers.

• Use Load Balancers to hot deploy new versions without any downtime whatsoever.

• Integrate statsd and graphite into our development environment.

• Help with the deployment process for our native Mac and iOS applications.

• Proposebetter waysto handle logs.

• Add better monitoring to detect problems.

• Make sure our backup & restore procedures are tested, that backups are verified and there are no loose ends.

• Make sure all the appropriate security measures are in place.
