Job Description
The Website Designer will be responsible for the user experience on https://www.nielsen.com and day-to-day tasks associated with website design and front-end production support. This requires a combination of creative skills and technical proficiency to design engaging digital experiences for the Nielsen Corporate website. The Web Designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their business needs and will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless integration of those business needs into design elements, usability features and responsive design layouts to enhance Nielsen’s digital presence.
Responsibilities

    • Develop creative concepts and design mockups for https://www.nielsen.com based on project requirements and in line with Nielsen brand guidelines
    • Collaborates with stakeholders to understand design objectives and user experience goals.
    • Creates and manages graphical elements including images, icons, and landing page templates for the Website production team.
    • Designs optimized digital user experiences across multiple device types leveraging best practices and technical requirements.
    • Implements responsible design principles to ensure optimal viewing experiences across devices and screen sizes
    • Stay updated on industry best practices for mobile and responsive design.
    • Partners closely with the Website Product Manager, Producers, and Technology team to implement and refine designs during the development process.
    • Provides design assets and specifications to ensure accurate and pixel-perfect implementation.
Job Requirements

    • BS in Graphic Design, Web design or a related field
    • 3+ years experience in Website design
    • Proven experience as a web designer with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse design projects
    • Proficiency in graphic design software including, Adobe Photoshop, illustrator
    • Knowledge of Figma, HTML, CSS, and web design principles
    • Understanding of responsive design and user-centered design principles
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
