We are a team of boundary-pushing problem-solvers who love to invent and improve. The Cassandra Database Engineerwill help manage our ever-growing data stores. You will ensure that our Cassandra clusters are fully monitored and always available, and you will work closely with the Development and Operations teams to understand load requirements in order to adequately scale the clusters and stay ahead of demand. In additional to normal database operations, you will be responsible for maintaining a backup/recovery process, and you will periodically test that process to ensure smooth transitions in the case of a database failure. Finally, theCassandra Database Engineer shouldkeep abreast of software updates and methodicallyreview updates prior to executingnon-intrusive rolling upgrades in production.
