We’re looking for more than just an engineer: someone who has vision and a passion for building interesting things and writing quality code; someone who has ideas to bring to the table; someone who will argue for what they believe; someone who wants to help shape a startup company.

Long term, the team is what’s important, not the product. We aim to be an ideas company that moves from great idea to great idea, rather than spending a decade making incremental improvements to their one-hit-wonder.

Are you tired of hearing the term "rock star"? You’re not an energy drink, you’re a powerhouse of efficiency, an inventor, a force to be reckoned with. Just don’t get too full of yourself ; )

Qualifications:

  • Be an excellent programmer: we want the best of the best
  • Be a quick learner and willing to learn on your own
  • Have a philosophy: what’s wrong with the way things are done now, and how are you doing it better?
  • Know nodejs and well-structured javascript programming
  • Be self-directed and self-motivated

Skills we’re looking for (ie nice-to-haves):

  • experience with structured frontend browser development
  • expertise with scalability
  • expertise with mongo db
  • experience with elasticsearch
  • experience writing code to gather or analyze user-metrics
  • expertise in data analysis
  • expertise in statistical analysis
  • experience with a wide range of product management tools

At this stage in the company, any team member would receive substantial equity.

If you’d like to apply, send us:

  • Your resume
  • Any public profiles you have with github, stackoverflow, wikipedia or anything else like that
  • Which skills you have that we’re looking for (those nice-to-haves)
  • Why this listing caught your eye
  • What your programming philosophy is
  • What you like or dislike about javascript or nodejs
