As a Mid-Level Development Engineer for LifeMed ID you’ll play a critical role in delivering the market-leading patient ID software solution for the healthcare industry. You will be part of a team that focuses on improving and developing a wide range of features in our core product and will range throughout the product from the user interface through to the database. In this role you will actively engage with the rest of the development organization to achieve your goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.

• Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions.

• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, and charts.

• Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards and programming.

• Improves operations by conducting system analysis and recommends changes in policies and procedures.

• Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the art development tools, programming techniques and computing equipment.

• Participate in educational opportunities, read professional publications and participate in professional organizations.

• Perform software testing from unit to integration testing

• Support and develop peers by providing advice, coaching and educational needs.
