TVRunway is seeking for a full stack developer to continue the building and improvement of our JavaScript-based program. We are not looking for someone who just wants to be a code monkey. We’re looking for a team member who wants to grow into management one day, but who also truly loves to code. If you’re the right fit for us, you’ll haveexperience with the entire software development life cycle from end to end, be an independent thinker and manage your time well.

You will be Employee #1 at a start-up. So we’re interested in getting to know you better if you’re a highly-talented &versatile full-stack developer with entrepreneurial instincts, a strong desire to do things differently, and the drive to truly build something from the ground up. You’ll have the opportunity to impact all levels of technology development as we grow.We are not only changing the way people shop, but the way they watch television, with the larger social mission of improving women’s self-esteem through access to seen-on-tv looks in any size and price range. Youmust be highly motivated by a desire to challenge and move beyond conventional thinking, and have a strong desire to help us grow an empire.

You should be comfortable building production-ready software at all levels of the tech stack for our JS/Python platform & API. You’ll have the opportunity to develop creative solutions to challenging problems and influence technology choices.

Our software is past beta with a planned January launch, so we have real users to learn from and respond to. You will be tasked with the tablet and laptop side of our software.

Our CEO is a former tv exec who served on the White House Business Council with her first company. Our VP, Sales is driving the company into new places every day, with over 300 retailers already integrated. Their strong partnership creates a dynamic, forward-moving foundation for the company.
• You will also get to work solo. The ability to communicate what you’re doing with your code to the rest of the team is therefore critical.
• You will have influence! While we are at MVP, you will make consequential decisions from day one that impact final tweaks before launch as well as have a real impact on our first &future iterations.
• You will constantly be challenged with new projects that have direct influence on the company.
• You must work well under pressure and be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Lastly, you must also have an excellent sense of priorities and organizational skills.

This is a long term, full-time position. Candidates must be in Greater New York with the expectation of working in the same office as our team a minimum of 3 days a week. (The remaining 2 days may be remote or with the team—however you work best.)
