Ansible is looking for a test automation engineer to contribute to the overall product quality of Ansible, Ansible Tower and other emerging products. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers to identify areas of risk, understand customer usage, and design+develop test automation to mitigate risk. Candidates should have a basic level of system administration and demonstrate knowledge of software quality best practices. Job leveling will be determined by years of relevant experience and skill set.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement test automation, automate daily tasks and improve overall test coverage Analyze product source code and work with developers to propose appropriate test strategies Propose solutions and, where possible, provide patches Communicate test strategies and document test plans as needed Diagnose complex problems and concisely documenting product defects
