LegalZoom’s infrastructure team is responsible for all aspects of infrastructure operations and maintaining the highest levels of uptime to support millions of users. Responsibilities include designing and supporting LegalZoom network infrastructure for high-availability and security, planning and executing multiple projects, and supporting 24/7/365 site operations. Our ideal candidate is an experienced network engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys multitasking, and is able to work independently or as part of a project team. Provide research, recommendations and solutions for redundancy, availability, scalability, and performance improvement.

What you will do:

  • Provide network services support at an advanced level to users and provide group design and product recommendations, evaluations, configurations, etc.

  • Ability to lead the resolution of client business network problems through research, network installation and customization, network administration and network management support.

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining all aspects of the network infrastructure (i.e. Racking/LAN/WAN/WLAN/VoIP/VPN/Network Security) for multiple office and co-location sites

  • Provide 24/7 on-call (on a rotation) operational level support for all aspects of the network.

  • Conduct Proof of Concepts for emerging technologies and present recommendations to design team and management.

  • Participate in multi-discipline design teams to provide solutions and capacity planning of equipment and network.

  • Candidate should have a very strong background in Security (ASA, IPS, overall edge security).

  • Perform analytical, technical and administrative work in the planning, design, installation, documentation and administration of all telecommunication and network systems.

  • Serve as lead technical troubleshooter on complex data and voice network problems including working with vendors of related equipment and services.

  • Maintain network health monitoring and notification tools.

  • Maintain telecommunication and data circuits/vendors (PRIs, T1, Private Lines, POTS, DS3, MPLS, etc.).

  • Maintain network infrastructure hardware including ongoing software/firmware patches or upgrades, and bandwidth analysis.

  • Document network architecture and topology.

  • Support end users as required to provide a positive customer experience.

  • Assist with other IT related special projects as determined by business need.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures relative to telecommunication, data network and Internet security.

  • Coordinate with peer and contract-consulting staff to achieve project deliverables and time lines.

  • Proactively identify ongoing cost optimization, performance enhancement, and growth strategies.
