About You
You are a deeply technical and self motivated craftsperson with experience developing highly secure and resilient asynchronous backend software architecture. You are passionate about the future of financial technology, and have a vision for how it will evolve with the advent of Web3. You are familiar with both traditional financial systems and decentralized financial systems and understand the risks and challenges of bridging them.
Responsibilities
Lead and provide guidance for engineering team priorities
Lead requirements gathering for new features/products
Assist in technical scoping
Perform design/architecture reviews
Be a bar raiser for code reviews,
Be an individual contributor for the core codebase as well as other key features
Be a technical owner. Raise the bar on defects, technical risk, delivery risk, and empower the team to also be owners
Take an evidence driven approach towards engineering leadership. Ensure the team is aligned and contributing towards the company’s goals
Requirements
5+ years of professional software development experience
Significant experience working on fintech products
Significant experience working on blockchain products
Significant production software experience with golang
Significant familiarity with typescript, rust, and other strongly typed languages preferred
A champion for coding standards and code quality
A desire to have great test coverage to enable continuous delivery
Ability to exercise technical and product judgment in solving roadblocks
Collaborative working style, you are energized by and enjoy discussing and planning with others, both synchronously and asynchronously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to collaborate, share ideas and present concepts effectively
Self-starter, you enjoy high ownership fast pace environments and constantly seek to improve your work with low supervision
