Build a system inside one of our service layers with Application configurations setup by Puppet and deployment orchestration setup by Ansible
Review current infrastructure and identify an area where automation is lacking
Build scripting around that area and develop documentation around process
Put into production, monitor and remediate defects
Develop testing scenarios to validate automation objectives to keep a consistent level of quality
What you get to do in your first 6 months…
Design and run process between developers and operations to enable all sides to deliver bleeding-edge products
Meet with project teams and discuss needs and deficiencies
Develop project plan to go from inception to implementation
Define timelines and resourcing needs
Define risk factors
Take on personal, project and team responsibility and drive change through analysis of current processes and practices
Become the subject matter expert of departmental and Olson process
Mentor team members on new processes that have been developed and how to integrate them into the everyday workflow
