The AWS Cloud Developerwill work with senior developers, research scientists, contractors, and team developers to design and implement the second version of our real-time cloud service, BigLearn, which provides personalized recommendations and performance prediction to students using OpenStax Tutor and CourseWare.

The AWS Cloud developer will reengineerBigLearn to use AWS services more efficiently, andseparate fast query response code from slower calculation codethat runs periodically.

The Cloud developer should havein-depth Amazon Web Service (AWS) knowledge to help manage the architectural components at the box/pipe/database level and help configure certain “elastic” processing segments that will automatically scale to match request loads.
