The Opportunity The Back End Developer will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment using the latest open source technologies for software development. You will work with our experienced Development, Design and QA teams to produce and maintain the highest quality of software products. You will be part of a team that is changing the face of an industry and producing an application that is used by thousands of clients. This position allows you a huge complex product to work on where you can take ownership of your back end kingdom! The Responsibilities
- 2+ years experience as a Back End Developer (working with Java, C#, PHP, Python)
- Working on complex data problems
- Design, development, and maintenance of code
- Experience with Big Data (Hadoop exp . a plus)
- API development and Feature Development
- Writing code and running appropriate diagnostic tests to proactively solve potential issues
- Identify and solve problems creatively and efficiently
- Design, communicate, and implement solutions effectively
- Test orientated development
The Person
- 2-5years of experience as a Back End Developer
- Effective communication, decision-making, and problem solving skills
- Professional development experience, either through a full-time job, internship or personal projects
- Solid understanding of back end technologies
- Familiarity with responsive web design techniques
- Experience building and or designing web applications
- Familiarity with PHP
- Experience with Backbone, Ember . js and/or AMD
