Our office is based in a WeWork space in New York City and we are looking for like­minded developers, with an interest in financial services innovation, to join our team today.

THE ROLE:

You will be joining a small, experienced technology team as the lead architect for the evolving technology platform, shaping its future expansion both in terms of functional coverage as well as support for a broader array of products and channels. Considerations as we expand will include performance, scale, extensibility, infrastructure, data analytics, and integration points with larger enterprise ecosystem as well as external providers. In addition, you will have direct development responsibility for key framework components such as workflow and interfaces out to internal and external platforms. Experience with a wide breadth of technology paradigms and concepts is expected with a focus on data­ driven, web based applications a must. The job will be varied and challenging.

These are essential to success in this role:

5+ years experience as a developer/lead

3+ years experience in a systems design/architecture role

Experience and familiarity with financial services or other mathematically oriented applications

Experience with enterprise environments and related complexities, dynamics, and processes

Experience with data modeling (logical and physical) and object modeling

Extensive experience with traditional object oriented languages (e.g. Java, .net, Ruby, Python)

A demonstrable interest in building modern, complex, customer ­facing web applications

Experience with modern MVC (Model­view­controller) frameworks

Experience with event­d riven programming and frameworks

Experience with a variety of database systems, both relational and NoSQL

Experience with information security paradigms and implementations

Experience on performance optimization and tuning of web applications required, databases a plus

Excellent clarity of thought process and communication ability

Comfortable expressing and defending points of view while respecting those of others.

Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

These skills are not required but are a plus:

Experience with data analytics ­ both tools as well as impact to data structures and implementation

Experience design multi­channel platforms and web­sites (desktop, mobile).

Working in a startup or agile development environments

BA/BS/MS in computer science or related subject area

We pay competitive base salaries and we reward performance. Our salary structure is commensurate with experience. In
