Ecosia, or as we like to call it, the search engine that plants trees, is a pioneering social business and one of the first B Corporations in Europe. As part of our mission to cultivate a more environmentally, socially and economically sustainable world, we want to halt and reverse deforestation by planting a billion native trees by 2020. With 2 million users, 30 million searches, and more than 1000 evangelists, we are now looking for a passionate Front-End Developer who will be responsible for delivering a fantastic front-end experience to our users. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Breathing life into product designs with clean, compliant and performant HTML and CSS
  • Working on the front-end of our web applications using SASS, Handlebars and Backbone.js with a strong focus on modularity and reusability
  • Writing performant Javascript
  • Owning and developing our Stylekit project which we share across products — youll help us build beautiful frontends quickly!
  • Helping define our technology roadmap and the future of products that drive the entire business
  • Working with other members of the product team to plan and execute on projects from conception through to completion
  • Helping innovate and improve an industry-leading product with millions of users
