About the role:

The Data Science team at AdRoll is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build out green-field, mission-critical infrastructure. You’ll work closely with Data Scientists on both the Engineering and Business Intelligence teams building out a system that will improve efficiency and performance across the whole company. This project will have a huge impact on how AdRoll conducts its future business.

At AdRoll Engineering, we value the freedom and autonomy we give to our employees. As this infrastructure will be brand new, you will have the unique opportunity to truly lead the product development, employing the technologies you see fit to use. You’ll create tools to help BI perform and analyze experiments across all of our ad systems, and then build infrastructure to codify and automate BI recommendations. As such, your work will scale gracefully and be extraordinarily fault tolerant.

As you work with Data Scientists, you’ll be expected to iterate on new mathematical and statistical ideas to boldly drive up the performance of all of our customers’ campaigns. This means being excited about statistics is a plus, and, in particular, you’ll be able to see the effect your system has with our overall company metrics. Since this is a new initiative with a big impact, there’s a fantastic opportunity to learn, grow, and become a powerful agent to affect the company’s core metrics.

Responsibilities:

• Write high quality, maintainable code as a senior member of the Data Science team.

• Develop polished user interfaces, backend systems for managing data, and the APIs in the middle.

• Work with product management and fellow engineers to plan features, create specs, and estimate effort.

• Help establish technical standards as the product scales up.

• Create a high-profile internal product that will revolutionize the way AdRoll does business.
